The work is a series of wall tearings realized between 2022 and 2023 in my temporary studio in Utrecht.
Investigating the structure of the palace —a historic building in the city center temporarily allocated to artists
—I’ve documented its internal decay slated for future renovation. Architectural memories encompass a series of
meticulously painted micro-images. Symbolically, ivy plants adorning the windows of my studio emerge from the
various openings, growing and blossoming.

The structure of the wall tearing retains a sense of vitality, continually evolving as it respond to its environment.
It seems to have a life of its own, adapting to fluctuations in humidity by breathing, shrinking, and enlarging itself.
This dynamic relationship with its surroundings lends the torn wall an ever-changing character.
Indeed the response to humidity adds an element of unpredictability, ensuring that its final shape remains elusive
and constantly evolving.
